My Story
I actually get it. I have been there & know the challenges!
Constantly worrying about finding & keeping the right team, and clients.
Wishing I could enjoy my work & not be annoyed with mundane details
Living for vacations and weekends
Figuring out how to offer premier services to my clients & a positive working environment for my team
Greetings, dear fellow travellers, welcome to my page. My name is Arousha Jahangiri. I am the founder of Dr.J Coaching, Business Owner & Entrepreneur, Washingtonian Top Dentist, Certified Professional Coach through the prestigious IPEC Institute, ELI Master Practitioner, COR.E Dynamics Certified, and Passionate Educator.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2007 from dental school, I practiced dentistry for 15 years in the Washington D.C. area. And for almost a decade of those 15 years, I owned and ran a busy and successful dental practice downtown in Washington D.C. I was voted Washingtonian Top dentist by my fellow peers and even had a bright smiley photo in the Washingtonian Magazine for a few years. I bought a couple of practices, combined them, grew my business 250% in just five years, and worked three days a week. I was earning an amazing income and living in total freedom. I had it all, or so it seemed, but it just wasn't enough. Something was missing in my career! I was drained and exhausted all the time. I sacrificed my body and mind trying to please and serve my patients, motivate, and lead my team to care about something bigger.
What could I do, though? What options were there? I had spent nine years of college and 15 years of clinical practice becoming a highly skilled dentist. But the thought of spending the next five, ten, or fifteen years doing dentistry at the same pace and volume was terrifying to me.
And then, I took a small but essential step that changed my life and my view of everything! The life-changing work I did on myself led me to decide to become a coach and to find the best tools and systems to help other professionals address many of the struggles they face daily. Struggles that I know and understand all too well.
Through hard work and patience, I overcame my own burnout, started my coaching career, and after some planning, I sold my practice, and here we are.
I haven't said goodbye to dentistry forever. If this journey taught me anything, it is that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE & ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Perhaps dentistry will be back in my life in another shape or form. What I do know is that MY PASSION lies with coaching, and it is MY MISSION & GOAL to be of service to my fellow professionals for now.
Don't Settle For Good Enough!
